Poverty is attracted to the one whose mind is favourable to it, as money is attracted to one whose mind has been deliberately prepared to attract it.
Riches don’t respond to wishes.
They respond only to definite plans, backed by definite desires, through constant persistence.
Poverty and riches often change places. Poverty may, and generally does, voluntarily take the place of riches. When riches take the place of poverty, the change is usually brought about through well-conceived and carefully executed plans. Riches are shy and timid. They have to be attracted. One of the tricks of opportunity is that it has a sly habit of slipping in by the back door, and often comes disguised as misfortune or temporary defeat. When you really desire something so deeply, that you are willing to stake your entire fortune on the single turn of a wheel to get it, you’re sure to win.
Most of us go through life as failures because we are waiting for the ‘time to be right’ to start doing something worthwhile. Don’t wait. The time will never be right. Moreover, most people are prone to give up at the first signs of defeat. There is no substitute for persistence. Money without brains is always dangerous. Properly used, it is the most important essential of civilisation. It’s OK to fail. Because failure helps us grow. We learn from our mistakes and do it better next time. Don’t get to the end of your life and wonder ‘How did I get here’. Everybody ends up somewhere, whether they mean to or not. Make sure you end up somewhere on purpose.
A formula

The mind thinks in pictures, not words. Think about what you dream of. You never see the word ‘car’ in your dreams. You see the actual car. You see yourself driving it. What we vividly picture in our minds and desire, will become reality. Plan how to achieve the goal you want.
If the first plan you adopt does not work successfully, replace it with a new plan. If this plan fails to work replace it with a new plan, and another, until you find one that works. There are no unsuccessful goals, only timeframes. Right here is the point at which the majority of people meet with failure because of their lack of persistence in creating new plans to take the place of those which fail. Temporary defeat should mean only one thing – the certain knowledge that there is something wrong with the plan.
You cannot get riches without effort. It is the law of economics. You cannot legally acquire riches through mere force of numbers, or without giving, in return, an equivalent value of one form or another. The starting point of all achievement is desire. Weak desires bring weak results. Just a small amount of fire, brings a small amount of heat. If you find yourself lacking in persistence, this weakness may be remedied by building stronger fires under your desires.
