Last week, I introduced you to the 7M Business Growth Model. And I stipulated that I believe there are 7 Fundamental Laws to having a successful business.
I used to be a Policeman many years ago, and quite often I would arrest someone and they would say to me, “I didn’t realise I was breaking the law!” Ignorance is not a defence in law, and neither is ignorance a defence when running your business.
Knowing what to do and actually doing the right thing is paramount in every business.
So this week, we’re going to look at the first irrefutable Law.
Mindset.
I see so many business owners crumbling at present. The world appears a scary place at present. What with earthquakes, and wars, and famines constantly coming through our newsfeeds, you’d perceive there was no hope at all.
We’re not getting any younger and the longer we procrastinate, the longer it’s going to take to fix.
It’s Time to THINK DIFFERENTLY during this epic time. The universe hates a vacuum and this current climate is creating a vacuum at present. It’s important to fix this now.
It’s time to Get off treadmill and have the right Mindset. Remember Perception is Projection.
Don’t get left behind.
LAW 1 MINDSET————————-
If you don’t get this right then you continue to run the same patterns in your business, and you’re closed to suggestions. I want you to imagine now, running round and round, getting tired and breathless, and getting nowhere in your Business.
However, when you do get this right then you open yourself up to new ways and new opportunities. You see opportunities, and your mind works for you.
Imagine now having a clear focus and strategy, knowing what you want to achieve in your business – you can see the horizon as being so achievable to get to.
It’s a bit like building a house. Without a strong foundation to build on, the house will fall over.
It’s a bit like that in business as well. You need to build that firm foundation before you can build any more structure.
FREEDOM FOCUS FORMULA
What we’re talking about is Mindset. This is what we call the FREEDOM F.O.C.U.S. Formula.
It’s about your top 2”
It’s about playing to our 6 Human needs of having:
- Certainty
- Uncertainty & Variety
- Significance
- Love & Connection
- Growth
- Contribution
- … and a 7th: · FREEDOM
All of us want and desire in our life at least one of these needs.
Now there are two types of MINDSET when understanding the 6 Human Needs. Number one, you’ve got to understand yourself.
The biggest chokehold on every single business owner – and having trained hundreds of business owners – what I see, time and time and time again, is the business owner’s mindset.
Their top 2”.
What is your top 2” like? Be honest with yourself.
Are you feeding your top 2” with positive or negative thoughts.
I really want you to understand what makes you tick – what makes you motivated.
TOP 2″
You must work on your own MINDSET. What you need to do is ensure your top 2” is being well nourished by positive thoughts and affirmations.
What business owners learn during our mentoring sessions and on our masterminds is to get the right pattern, the right foundation, the right mindset to move forward with confidence. ·
Where are you now with your top 2”, and where would you like to be?
The second type of MINDSET, is the MINDSET of your customers. Please understand that your clients, the way they think is more important than how you think.
What is the human need they need nourishing, from you? Especially in these current times.
Stop talking to them about how great you are, and how amazing your product is. Listen to their needs and desires, find out what their problems are, so you can offer your solution and serve them.
So please understand the two types of Mindset, yours, and your clients, and if you do, you will do great things in business.
